Where Hope Has a Home | Designing Spaces for the Bay Area Ronald McDonald House

MMID was honored to take part in designing several spaces for the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford as part of their Where Hope Has a Home project. From the studs out, we crafted two bedrooms and a common area for the guests of the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. We know that when a home is a space of calm and beauty, it makes it much easier to focus on healing. 

KIND WORDS

Melinda’s goal was to create spaces that, “feel like home, but also a little bit of a retreat.”

She wanted to create an environment that would help families heal, both physically and emotionally, from the upheaval and trauma of what was going on, and to help alleviate some of the fear: 'a safe, comfortable, and nurturing space
